Using The Find and Replace & Check Spelling Functions In Dreamweaver
Dreamweaver provides a useful "Find And Replace" utility to help you edit your webpages quickly.
However, you should be cautious when using this function, and I'll explain why in a minute.
To access the Find and Replace feature simply choose: Edit > Find And Replace
From here you can select whether you want to search the Current Document, Open Documents or a specific Folder or the entire Local Site.
While very quick at making replacements, you should be careful when using this feature, especially if you are replacing something in an entire folder...
If you make an error here, you may alter many webpages without a simple way of undoing the change!
However, if you double check everything and use this function, it can help you to update dozens or even hundreds of pages very quickly.
Check Spelling:
To use the check spelling feature, you simply need to choose: Text > Check Spelling
Or of course Shift + F7
Features like Find and Replace or Check Spelling are small but useful.
